I recently stayed at Hotel Paulo VI for a few days, and it was perfect for my needs. I was in Rio Maior to meet some friends, and the hotel's location was ideal, just 50 meters away. The breakfast was exceptional - the best I had during my time in Portugal. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel, despite being a 2-star, provided daily room cleaning, fresh towels, and a spotless bathroom. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to assist me. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located 30 minutes from the beach, an hour from Lisbon, and close to the most refreshing air I've experienced in years.
I can recommend this hotel.

The room was amazing! It had everything I needed, like an air-conditioner to beat the heat, a comfortable bed, and a desk for catching up on work. The private bathroom was clean and had a great shower with complimentary toiletries. I felt cozy and at home in the room.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the cable TV. I'm more into exploring the outdoors and didn't spend much time watching TV.

The staff were cool af, always there to help. The room was on point, clean and fresh. The shower gave us major party vibes with its powerful jets. And the breakfast, man, it was fire! We stuffed ourselves with tasty treats before hitting the beaches and clubs. Rio Maior was dope, with its sick beaches and killer nightlife. A trip to remember, for sure!
One thing we wished for was a sick pool party at the hotel. It would've been the ultimate spot to chill and soak up the sun with our crew.

We had a fantastic stay at a hotel in an excellent location, just a short 50, metre walk from where our friends live in Rio Maior. the highlight of our stay was the amazing breakfast, which was the best we had during our time in Portugal. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was cleaned and tidied every day, with fresh towels and a spotless bathroom , truly unexpected for a 2, star hotel like Paulo VI. the local people in Ribatejo were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. the hotel was also conveniently located, being just 30 minutes away from the beach and an hour away from Lisbon.
We also enjoyed the fresh, invigorating air in the area, which left us feeling energized. Cons: the only downside we found was that the location of the hotel was not very obvious to find.

Visited Rio Maior's Marinhas de Sal, amazing salt marshes. Met surreal RIBATEJO people. Close to beach, Lisbon, and freshest air in a decade. Energized!
Couldn't enjoy a glass of water, only paper cups. Breakfast weak.

The room and bathroom were comfortable with air conditioning and plenty of warm water for a relaxing shower. the Wi-Fi in the room had good strength and worked perfectly. the location of the hotel was very convenient, with key amenities and attractions within walking distance.
The breakfast service could definitely use some improvement. the cheese and ham servings were poorly prepared and not refrigerated, raising questions about their quality.

The kids absolutely loved the playgrounds and the swimming pools. The park had a great variety of activities for children of all ages, keeping them entertained for hours. It was the perfect place to spend quality family time together.
My children wanted more kid-friendly options on the breakfast menu.

I visited the saline ponds near Rio Maior, because who doesn't love a good natural salt marsh? The meeting facilities were great for my imaginary business needs. And the breakfast room actually served breakfast, what a novelty!
Wow, the road condition was just so polished that my car had a fun time slipping and sliding. What a thrilling experience, thanks for that!

Mind-blowing value for money! Super helpful 24-hour check-in, friendly staff who ironed my shirt for free! The room looked great, the shower worked well, and the breakfast was jaw-droppingly delicious. The room and bathroom were really comfortable, with air conditioning and plenty of warm water. The Wi-Fi was strong and worked perfectly. The location was excellent for meeting friends, and the breakfast was the best I've had in Portugal! Daily housekeeping and clean towels were unexpected for a 2-star hotel. The Ribatejo people were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to help. Plus, it's just 30 minutes from the beach and 1 hour from Lisbon! The fresh air here made me feel super energetic.

The location of Hotel Paulo VI was perfect for me as I was able to easily meet up with my friends who live nearby. The breakfast at the hotel was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my bed was made, towels were changed, and the bathroom was cleaned every day, which is not something I typically expect from a 2-star hotel. The overall value for money was excellent and I highly recommend this hotel.
